District 4 Candidate - Logan McNeil
I’ve had the pleasure of working as a community pharmacist for more than 16 years in British Columbia. After graduating from UBC in 2008, I worked as a staff pharmacist at busy community pharmacies, both on Vancouver Island, and, in the Lower Mainland, before moving to the Okanagan. I operated Shoppers Drug Mart franchises (in Vernon and Lake Country) for over a decade. Most recently, alongside my wife and two friends, we started Pivot Rx, an independent community pharmacy, first in Vernon, and now also open in Kamloops. My wife and I recently moved to Kelowna, where our son recently started kindergarten.
Since beginning my career, our profession in BC has navigated many changes. From the first pharmacist injections and adaptations to the more recent scope changes, including access to lab values, and minor ailment prescribing, I have been proud of our ability to expand access to care in our communities while supporting vital functions in our health system. I am deeply committed to advancing our ability to provide the safest, most effective and culturally safe care possible to the people we serve. Our College, and its Board, are an integral part of these commitments. I am excited for the opportunity to be in service to these goals, with a deep commitment to serving and protecting the public. Thank you for your consideration and please reach out if you’d like to discuss anything more.
