District 6 - Adil Virani
Adil Virani is a Manager with Lower Mainland Pharmacy Services (LMPS) with over 25 years of hospital, community and university experience in British Columbia and Nova Scotia. Adil currently oversees the clinical and pharmacy operations at Surrey Memorial Hospital, the Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Center, the LMPS Residency Program and the Fraser Health Antimicrobial Stewardship Program
Adil also holds a certificate in Leadership Development from St. Mary’s University and is a Fellow of the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists (CSHP). He has also served as President for the BC- Branch of CSHP. In addition, he has been a member of CADTH’s Canadian Drug Expert Committee since 2011 and a member of PMPRB’s Human Drug Advisory Panel since 2008. Adil lectures on various topics to pharmacy students in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and psychiatry residents in the Faculty of Medicine. He has been the editor for 6 editions of the Clinical Handbook for Psychotropic Drugs and has over 50 publications.
