Communications and Engagement Plan Overview
Update on College Engagement Strategy
Colin Wong, the College’s Director of Communications and Engagement, provided the board with a brief overview of the College’s Communications and Engagement (C&E) Strategy for 2023/2024, including target audiences, key messages, and tactical examples.
The College’s 2023/2024 C&E Strategy aligns with the updated strategic plan and operations plan, with specific focus on the following key initiatives:
- Indigenous Cultural Safety and Humility
- The Health Professions and Occupations Act
- Pharmacist Prescribing for Minor Ailments and Contraception
- Medication Incident Reporting
- Patient Expectations
- Media Relations
Amendments to the Pharmacy Operations and Drug Scheduling Act Bylaws – Proposed New Fee Schedule
The Board approved proposed amendments to the Pharmacy Operations and Drug Scheduling Act (PODSA) Bylaws Schedule A – Fee Schedule in accordance with the College’s 2023/2024 budget.
At its February 2023 meeting, the Board approved the CPBC’s 2023/2024 budget. To operationalize this budget, PODSA fee schedule changes are necessary. These changes will implement the approved 15% increase to the fees established in the PODSA Bylaws, Schedule A.
The proposed new PODSA fee schedule will now be publicly posted for the 90-day notice period required by the PODSA.
Amendments to the Health Professions Act Bylaws – Approved New Fee Schedule
The Board approved amendments to the Health Professions Act (HPA) Bylaws Schedule D – Fee Schedule in accordance with the College’s 2023/2024 budget.
At its February 2023 meeting, the Board approved the CPBC’s 2023/2024 budget. To operationalize this budget, HPA fee schedule changes are necessary. These changes will implement the approved 15% increase to the fees established in the HPA Bylaws, Schedule D.
The approved new HPA fee schedule will now be submitted to the Minister of Health for filing and will come into force 60 days after filing.
