Complaints And Concerns

The College of Pharmacists of BC is a Health Professions College under the Health Professions Act. Our mandate is to serve and protect the public at all times.

This includes ensuring that every pharmacist and pharmacy technician conducts their practice in a way that provides the public with safe and effective pharmacy care.

Patients and members of the public who feel they’ve received unsafe or otherwise poor-quality pharmacy care can submit concerns to the College. The College will inquire into concerns related to practices conducted by pharmacy professionals in BC that present a risk to public safety.

Health professionals have a duty to report any unsafe practice of any regulated health professional.

The Investigation Process enables the College to ensure all registered pharmacy professionals are held accountable for their responsibility to provide safe and effective pharmacy care by following practice standards and legislative requirements.
