College Asks for Input with Certified Pharmacist Prescriber Online Engagement
The College is taking the next step forward in its Certified Pharmacist Prescriber Initiative and needs your input!
Over the past few months, we've been meeting with groups of pharmacy professionals from different practice settings to get their feedback on the Certified Pharmacist Prescriber Draft Framework. The Draft Framework outlines the societal need for prescribing, proposed eligibility criteria, new standards, limits and conditions for prescribing, and includes practical use cases.
Stakeholder engagement is an essential part of this initiative. We want to hear from as many voices as possible to develop a strong case for pharmacist prescribing in BC – so we are asking pharmacy professionals, students, other health care professionals and the public to participate in a survey.
To get started, visit: http://www.bcpharmacists.org/certified-pharmacist-prescriber
The online engagement will be open until Friday, July 15 at 5PM.
Your input will be used to help finalize the Certified Pharmacist Prescriber Framework. The College will summarize the feedback they receive in an online report, which will be presented to the Board (see diagram below for the entire process).
Participation is strongly encouraged, and we look forward to hearing from you!
