Prepare for your next practice review with the new PRP Support Tools!
Pharmacy and Pharmacy Professionals Reviews are now being conducted on a multi-year cycle in both Community and Hospital pharmacy practice settings across BC.
So far, College Compliance Officers have conducted 44 Pharmacy Reviews and 180 Pharmacy Professionals reviews in the 2017/2018 fiscal year.
In order to help registrants prepare for reviews, complete action items, and improve their practice, the College has introduced four new PRP support tools.

This initial suite of support tools focuses on community pharmacy practice with more tools planned for release in the future.
Using the Support Tools for Pharmacy Professionals Reviews and Action Items
The PRP Support Tools provide comprehensive outlines of the requirements that comprise each of the four focus areas for pharmacy professionals in community practice.
They were developed as educational materials complete with strategies and best practices to assist community pharmacy professionals in preparing for an upcoming Pharmacy Professionals’ Review or in addressing any assigned action items.
Even if you are not scheduled for a review, these support tools can be used as a way to assess and improve your individual practice. They can also be used as an informational resource to reference specific standards and processes under each of the focus areas and identify any areas for improvement.
About The Practice Review Program
The Practice Review Program (PRP) is an in-person review of a pharmacy professional’s practice and the pharmacy where they work. The program aims to protect public safety by improving compliance with College Bylaws and Professional Practice Policies and ensuring consistent delivery of pharmacy services across BC.
The Practice Review Program first began in February 2015, starting with reviews in community pharmacy practice settings. The program expanded to include hospital pharmacy practice settings with reviews beginning in April 2017.
