After earning my bachelor degree in pharmacy, I entered the hospital pharmacy practice world to explore my passion for helping cancer patients out by giving them a daily dose of hope and inspiration.
Currently, I work as an associate owner for Shoppers Drug Mart, where I'm focused on leading my team towards the best patient centric pharmacy services, and keeping a positive outlook about our profession to the public.
I’ve spent the last 18 years learning everything there is to know about the pharmacy industry from hospital and LTC to retail. I’m currently applying this knowledge in my role as an associate owner for
SDM#2113, where I’m responsible for leading my team to perform with the highest standards level and best practices in the industry, also collaborating with stakeholders to align our strategy and process.
I've held a number of management and leadership roles, from pharmacy manager to associate owner, but my biggest challenge, I still take pride in, has been helping my colleague pharmacists to improve their work environment and raising the bar again for our profession through my contributions as the owner/manager of Carelief Inc. [http://carelief.ca/Default ]. Also I’ve been educating lots of pharmacy students and mentoring lots of new pharmacists to help them to join the profession and take pride in what they are doing.
With an extensive background in sales and marketing, I am an expert on patient outreach programs, patient-tailored approaches and educational seminars. Some of my projects included partnering with Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation to support Women’s Health [http://www.bclocalnews.com/business/410969135.html ], and Langley senior’s association yearly flu shot campaign; also I’ve participated in the flu shot campaign for Fraser Health senior executive team last year.
BC pharmacy association has also recruited me to be an advocate in my provincial riding, though BC Pharmacy MLA Outreach Program.
