Beginning March 2024, the College of Pharmacists of BC will transition to a single renewal date for all registrants, marking the start of the College’s streamlined renewal process. The new billing period for all registrants will begin April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026.
To facilitate this transition to the Single Renewal Date, your registration fees for 2024 will be pro-rated. This means you'll only pay for the number of months from your current renewal date until the end of March 31, 2025.
The College has developed this FAQ to address questions about the transition to the Single Renewal Date, pro-ration fee schedules, and how the transition may impact Continuing Education requirement submissions in the next year.

The reinstatement/late renewal process has not changed. However, here’s what you need to know for this transition year:
Deadline to apply for reinstatement/late renewal: You’ll need to apply no more than 90 days after the date your registration expired.
Pro-rated registration fee: Your registration fee will be pro-rated based on your current registration renewal month (refer to the pro-rated fee chart), and your registration will expire March 31, 2025. Starting April 1, 2025, you will enter the new annual renewal cycle.
Reinstatement/late fee: You’ll need to pay a reinstatement/late fee as per the Fee Schedule, along with the applicable pro-rated registration fee. This reinstatement/late fee applies to both pharmacists and pharmacy technicians and is not pro-rated.
Continuing Education (CE) requirements for 2024: You must submit your CE requirements for 2023 and wait to receive PDAP approval prior to submitting your 2024 reinstatement/late renewal application.
No CE Submission on March 31, 2025: At the first single renewal date (registration renewal deadline of March 31, 2025), submission of CE will not be required to proceed with renewal for the 2025-26 registration year.
No CE Carry-Over: Any CE completed prior to April 1, 2025, cannot be carried over for your renewal in 2026.
Currently, there are no changes to the CE requirements for 2024. Submission of CE continues to be mandatory for all pharmacy professionals to renew their registration on or before February 28, 2025.
At the first single renewal date (registration renewal deadline of March 31, 2025), submission of CE requirements will not be required to proceed with renewal.
A new cycle for completing CE will resume on April 1, 2025, and submission of CE will be required to renew registration on March 31, 2026.
Although CE will not need to be submitted at the registration renewal deadline of March 31, 2025, registrants are reminded of their ongoing responsibility under the Code of Ethics Standard 10(a) to “keep up to date with new pharmacy knowledge and practices by participating in continuous lifelong learning.” To support this, the PDAP portal will continue to be available for registrants to document and track their learning during the transition to the single renewal date. Any CE completed prior to April 1, 2025 cannot be carried over for your March 31, 2026 renewal.
At this time, there are no changes to CE requirements after the transition to a single renewal date. Registrants will be required to submit their CE once the single renewal date is implemented.
