The online continuing education program on professional development for collaborative practice is now open!
Interdisciplinary relationships is one of five key areas as outlined in the College’s Strategic Plan. The College recognizes the importance of seeking opportunities for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to collaborate with each other as well as other members of the larger health care team.
The program is open to both pharmacists and pharmacy technicians and is eligible for CE credits. Each of the modules focuses on one of the six key components of collaborative practice:
- Interprofessional Communication
- Patient/Client/Family/Community-Centred Care
- Role Clarification
- Team Functioning
- Interprofessional Conflict Management
- Collaborative Leadership
Once complete, participants are able to register for a full day in-person workshop to practice their new skills. The 7-hour workshop is also eligible for CE credits.
