Less than 6 Years
If you are a Former and/or Non-Practicing registrant for less than six years and want to reinstate as a Full Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician, complete the reinstatement requirements below.
You must complete the entire reinstatement process and become a registered Full Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician before the 6-year mark. You must take into account the processing time needed for the reinstatement and full registration applications. Therefore, you should submit your reinstatement application a minimum of 3 months and your full registration application a minimum of two weeks before the 6-year mark. If you do not become a Full Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician by the 6-year mark, you will be required to apply for reinstatement under the “6 Years or More” category.
You must not provide pharmacy services until your registration has been reinstated by the College.

- Submit the Application for Reinstatement
Review the general information on the Registration Reinstatement page. Use the Application Checklist for Reinstatement to collect all required documents and/or information prior to submitting your application and scan them in accordance with the Scanning Guidelines and Checklist for Document Submissions.
Submit your reinstatement application and the required documents online* by clicking on the “Reinstatement” tab after logging into eServices using the username previously assigned to you when you were a registrant. If you are unable to log in or forgot your username, contact the Registration Department .
*If you are currently registered as a Non-Practicing or Temporary registrant, refer to the Offline Process section on the Registration Reinstatement page.
Once you have submitted payment, allow 5 business days for your application to be reviewed. You will be notified by email when there is an update to your documents and application status.
The processing time for a reinstatement application is at least 45 days due to the processing time for the Criminal Record Check (CRC). If adjudication or fingerprinting is required, the processing time will be further extended. Visit the CRC webpage for more information.
You will be notified by email when your reinstatement application is completed (i.e. all documents are approved and your CRC result is received from the Ministry). You will then be able to proceed to complete the PDAP requirements below.
- Complete Professional Development and Assessment Program (PDAP) Requirements
All PDAP requirements must be met in order to be eligible to apply for Full Registration. See Programs for more information.

- Apply for Full Registration (as a Full Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician)
Use the Application Checklist for Full Registration to collect all required documents and/or information prior to submitting your application and scan them in accordance with the Scanning Guidelines and Checklist for Document Submissions.
Submit your Full Registration application online by logging into your eServices account, and click on the “Full Registration” tab. Allow 5 business days for processing if you have to resubmit your work authorization or Letter of Standing.

You will be notified by email when there is an update to your documents and application status.
You will be able to submit payment by credit card to complete registration when all requirements are met.
- Apply for Drug Administration (Optional for Pharmacists)
Refer to the Certification for Drug Administration by Injection and Intranasal Route page for more information.Note: If you were previously authorized for Drug Administration Certification in BC and wish to obtain certification again, you must re-apply for authorization after reinstating your Full Pharmacist registration.
- Completing Additional Training (Optional)
Additional training is required for working in a pharmacy that provides specific types of pharmacy services (e.g. Opioid Agonist Treatment). If this training applies to you, you are required to submit a declaration through eServices upon successful completion of the training. Please visit the College website at: https://www.bcpharmacists.org/declarations for more information.
You will receive a confirmation email once you become a registered pharmacist or pharmacy technician in BC. You may access your registration card through eServices. Registration must be renewed annually. You will receive an email reminder six weeks before your renewal due date.
Note: Effective December 1, 2020, all newly reinstated pharmacists and pharmacy technicians needing access to PharmaNet must enrol in PRIME by applying to the Ministry of Health and obtain approval to access PharmaNet.
- If you have never enrolled in PRIME, you may complete Step 1 of the enrollment process at any time, but you should only complete Step 2 of the enrollment process after 8pm on the day your Full registration is granted and your registration is reinstated, otherwise your approval will be delayed.
- If you were enrolled in PRIME previously, you will have to log back in PRIME to end the recorded absence after 8pm on the day your Full registration is granted and your registration is reinstated.
