12th Annual Pharmacy Technician Society of BC Conference
Registered pharmacy technicians are invited to attend the Pharmacy Technician Society of BC’s collaborative continuing education and networking event which will take place at the River Rock Casino & Resort in Richmond BC on Oct 27 and 28th.
The PTSBC Conference includes innovative keynote speakers, information sessions and various exhibitor booths. You will have the opportunity to learn about new approaches, new ideas and to hear about where your profession is heading. Each year this event continues to grow as more assistants and registered technicians get involved to support the profession and the future of pharmacy.

Meet the Panel
Take a moment to get to know the panel of pharmacy professionals that will be presenting on behalf of the College at the PTSBC Conference:
Bob Nakagawa
Bob Nakagawa is the Registrar of the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
Bob has over 30 years of pharmacy experience in British Columbia. He has a pharmacy degree from UBC and a residency in hospital pharmacy from St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver and is a Fellow of the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists. He has worked in hospital and in government developing innovative services and policies. Bob is an expert in public drug plan management and has provided advice to federal, provincial and international governments in this area.
Prior to joining the College of Pharmacists of BC, Bob was the Assistant Deputy Minister – Pharmaceutical Services, BC Ministry of Health.
Ashley Cheung
Ashley is the Practice Reviews and Quality Assurance Coordinator for the College of Pharmacists of BC. She became a regulated pharmacy technician in 2012 and has over eight years of experience working at the College and in community and long-term care pharmacy settings.
Bethany Gamache
Bethany is the Hospital Pharmacy Practice Review Coordinator and a Compliance Officer for the College of Pharmacists of BC. She completed her pharmacy technician course in 2001 and became a regulated pharmacy technician in 2014. Bethany has extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice. Prior to joining the College, she worked at St. Paul’s Hospital.
Kathleen Nguyen
Kathleen Nguyen is a registered Pharmacy Technician with over 5 years of Hospital pharmacy experience with focuses on inventory management and pharmacy information systems support. Kathleen recently joined the College as the Coordinator for Registration and Licensure.
