Over the past year, more than 170 BC pharmacists completed the ADAPT patient care and medication management skills training. Of that group, more than 100 pharmacists received their Certificate in Patient Care Skills.
Pharmacists who successfully complete the ADAPT training and certification are eligible for a $1000 rebate.
From October 2014 to March 2015:
- 12 BC pharmacists started the course
- 10 BC pharmacists completed the entire course, earned all available CEUs and were eligible to challenge for the Certificate
- 10 pharmacists chose to challenge for the Certificate
- 8 of the 10 pharmacists successfully challenged the Certificate on their first try and earned their Certificate in Patient Care Skills
- The remaining 2 pharmacists re-challenged and successfully earned their Certificate in Patient Care Skills on their second try
- These 10 pharmacists were awarded their $1000 rebate in April 2015
