The College will be implementing online licensure renewals starting with pharmacy licenses whose licenses expire January 31, 2015 (see correction).
In the current renewal process, individual pharmacists are able to renew their registration online, but pharmacies must complete their license renewal manually. The push for online pharmacy license renewals will streamline the process and help ensure better record keeping.
“This will provide all pharmacies the opportunity to maintain their pharmacy information on time, in real time,” said Doreen Leong, Director of Community Pharmacy Practice and Registration.
The first opportunity for pharmacies to pilot the online licensure renewal process will be for the January deadline. Pharmacy Managers will be notified in mid-December, and will be given the option to renew through the online renewal process or the manual renewal process. The manual renewal process will remain available for pharmacies over the next several months.
Detailed instructions will be posted on the College website to help users navigate the new online licensure renewal platform and process.

Correction: The online renewal process has been delayed until March 31, 2015. Pharmacy managers will now be notified of their renewals mid-February 2015. The manual renewal process will still be available. (11/12/2014)
