Registration Renewal Tips
February is one of the months with the greatest number of annual registration renewals. In order to prevent complications and ensure that you are able to complete your registration renewal efficiently and successfully, we’ve put together some of our top tips in the following guide.
When does my registration expire?
The expiry date can be found on your registration card which can be found under the “My Profile” tab in eServices.
Important Dates
Timeline | Event |
---|---|
~6 Weeks Prior to Registration Expiry Date | Registration renewal reminder sent by email |
Registration Expiry Date | Deadline to complete registration renewal application and payment of fees |
Day After Registration Expiry Date | Late fee applied for late registration renewal (on eServices) |
3 Months After Registration Expiry Date | Deadline to complete late registration renewal (on eServices) |
If you miss the deadline to complete your late registration renewal, and wish to reinstate, you will need to apply for reinstatement. For more information see:
Ensure You Receive College Emails
- Your email address with the College must be correct and up-to-date.
- You must not unsubscribe from receiving College emails – this can result in not receiving renewal notifications and other important emails.
- Add the College’s email address ([email protected]) to your safe sender list to avoid College emails from being blocked or filtered into your bulk/spam folder.
Complete Your CE Requirements
In order to submit your registration renewal application, you must first complete the Continuing Education (CE) requirements outlined in the Professional Development and Assessment Program (PDAP).
To submit your CE on the PDAP portal, log into your eServices account, select “PDAP” in the top menu and follow the prompts. CE can also be submitted through the new PDAP Mobile app.
CONTINUING EDUCATION EXEMPTIONIf you are on, or expect to be on medical, maternity, parental or compassionate care leave and as such are unable to complete your CE requirements, you may be eligible for a Continuing Education Exemption. Complete the Continuing Education Exemption Application Form and provide it to the College’s Professional Development Department at [email protected] to confirm your eligibility. |
Use a Supported Device
When completing your renewal through eServices we recommend using a supported browser to ensure the best experience possible. Please note that mobile devices such as smart phones, tablets and iPads are not supported.
It’s also important to ensure you have the most recent version of the web browser installed on your computer. Supported browsers for eServices include:
- Internet Explorer 8-11 (IE Edge not recommended)

If you experience technical difficulties during the renewal process, try a different browser or clear your cache/browsing history.

Failure to Renewal by Registration Expiry Date
Registrants are responsible for renewing their registration online through eServices annually prior to their registration expiry date, if they wish to maintain their registration.
If you fail to renew your registration by the registration expiry date, you will no longer be registered with the College and you will become a “former” registrant. This means that you will not be a registered pharmacist or pharmacy technician in BC, and, as such, you will not be allowed to practice pharmacy in BC. Your access to PharmaNet will also be terminated.
If you are also the manager of a pharmacy, your pharmacy licence will be cancelled. If you are also the director of a corporation that is the direct owner of a pharmacy, your pharmacy licence will be cancelled if the corporation no longer meets the requirement that the majority of the directors must be pharmacists.
