To update any of the following information, the manager or the authorized representative of the direct owner of the pharmacy will have to log into their eServices and go to the pharmacy portal to make the change.
Change in Layout
Change in Layout ("Renovation")
Pursuant to section 4.1(3) of the Pharmacy Operations and Drug Scheduling Act, a direct owner must give to the registrar 30 days' written notice of any changes respecting the name or layout of the pharmacy.
Change in layout refers to changes in your original pharmacy diagram submitted to the College. These changes may include, but not limited to:

What is a Change of Location?
- Occurs when the address and physical location of the pharmacy changes.
- The pharmacy licence is cancelled when the location of the pharmacy changes.
- The new location cannot operate or open to the public until the College issues a new licence.
- The authorized representative must submit the application at least 30 days prior to the proposed effective date.

Indirect owners for a non-publicly traded corporation include the directors, officers, and shareholders. If a shareholder is a non-publicly traded corporation incorporated in BC, its directors, officers and shareholders will also be considered indirect owners. What is a change of Direct Owner?
- Occurs when the corporation* that owns the pharmacy, the ‘direct owner’, changes.
- Can be due to the sale of the pharmacy, an amalgamation, a merger, or an acquisition.
- The new direct owner corporation will have a new BC incorporation number.

Pharmacy Licence Reinstatement
When the direct owner of a pharmacy does not renew the pharmacy licence by the licence expiry date, the pharmacy is no longer licensed and must cease operations and close. If the direct owner wishes to reopen the pharmacy, the direct owner can reinstate the pharmacy licence by submitting a Pharmacy Licence Reinstatement application which follows the standard renewal process.

A hospital pharmacy satellite is a physically separate area on or outside the hospital premises used for the provision of pharmacy services which is dependent upon support and administrative services from the hospital pharmacy.

Pharmacy Education Site
A pharmacy education site is licensed solely for the purpose of pharmacy education and pharmacy services are not provided to any person.
