Business Pressures Tipline - What and Why

  • The Tipline follows CPBC’s Business Metrics report that shows how business pressures in pharmacies may threaten public health and safety.
  • A recommendation from the report was the development of a comprehensive whistleblower program. The CPBC Business Pressures Tipline is the first step.
  • Every tip contributes to our understanding of the issue and strengthens our ability to act. By sharing information about unsustainable practices, tipline users contribute to a safer practice environment for all.
  • What is shared on the tipline is for informational purposes only, including to:
    • show that the issue is ongoing and CPBC continues to track emerging workplace pressure trends.
    • help identify pharmacy settings where registrants are experiencing these pressures.
    • contribute to CPBC's understanding of the nature of these pressures to inform action, such as policy change.

Important Note

  • Information shared on the tipline will be treated as confidential. We ask that tipline users share the pharmacy type but no specifics that could be traced back to themselves, clients or their location.
  • The tipline is not a part of CPBC’s Complaints and Concerns process. For concerns that may require investigation, or urgent public safety concerns, please contact Complaints and Concerns.
