Exploring the Fundamentals of Oncology
Are you a pharmacist or technician with cancer patients in your general practice? Are you a new practitioner or pharmacy student? Are you interested in foundational oncology education? If you answered yes to any of these questions, plan to attend the CAPhO Oncology Fundamentals Day (OFD17), taking place on Saturday, September 30, 2017 as a full day online learning event.
OFD17 is targeted for general pharmacy practitioners looking for core education on common oncology diseases, cancer treatment toxicities, and cancer symptoms. Education on these topics is becoming increasingly important for community pharmacists as they play an integral role in the provision of supportive care medications for cancer patients. Further, in many provinces community pharmacists dispense and monitor oral anti-neoplastic therapy.
