The Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA) has remodeled its ADAPT program.
Beginning at the end of August 2015, ADAPT will be delivered in four separate courses rather than one consecutive course. If an individual completes and passes all four courses, they will be eligible for the Certificate in Patient Care Skills. In addition, participants can pick and choose the courses that are the most interesting and choose not to pursue the certificate.
Those interested in ADAPT will pay for the course(s) they choose, with the College of Pharmacists of BC providing a reimbursement based on each course. Reimbursements will be provided upon completion of each course(s). See below:
- Course 1: Medication Assessment and Collaboration ($300 reimbursement)
- Course 2: Patient Interviewing, Assessment and Documentation ($300 reimbursement)
- Course 3: Evidence-based Clinical Decision Making ($250 reimbursement)
- Course 4: Putting It All Together: The ADAPT Certificate in Patient Care Skills ($150 reimbursement)
Note: In order to receive the certificate, participants must complete all four courses.
The reimbursement is available by cheque or it can be applied to cost of another course. The College is committed to providing funding for the ADAPT program into 2016.
The next available ADAPT session begins in October. For more information on ADAPT and to register, visit the CPhA website. Get started today!
