The College of Pharmacists of BC’s Annual Report for the fiscal year 2020/2021 (March 1, 2020 to February 28, 2021) is now available at annualreport.bcpharmacists.org.
As a BC Health Regulator, we recognize that our annual report plays an important role in demonstrating our transparency and accountability. It is also a great opportunity for the College to reflect on our performance and the many ways we’re involved in protecting the public.
Our Annual Report website is designed to enhance the accessibility and transparency of our Annual Report, making it easy for the public, registrants and other stakeholders to discover information about the College’s activities over the past fiscal year.
The report outlines the significant work done by the College over the past year to respond to both the COVID-19 pandemic and the escalating opioid overdose crisis. The report also highlights the ways in which we began to recognize, acknowledge and address the racism faced by Black, Indigenous, Asian and other racialized communities in both our health system and society as a whole.
Additionally, the report highlights the College’s efforts to reflect on our progress toward meeting our commitment to improve cultural safety and humility for First Nations and Indigenous Peoples in BC. This information is included in our dedicated Cultural Safety and Humility section.
The report also includes statistics related to registration, licensure, practice reviews and complaints, as well as the College’s audited financial statements.
