Are you a pharmacist or pharmacy technician?
We’re looking for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians from all practice types who would like to get involved in the work of the College and volunteer their time as a member of a committee. In order to be considered for appointment you must be a full pharmacist or pharmacy technician in good standing, and have been registered with the College for a minimum of 1 year.
Are you a member of the public?
Members of the public play a key role on College committees. In addition to a unique perspective, they help ensure transparency and bring a wider range of knowledge and skills to enhance the effectiveness of the committee. Extensive knowledge of pharmacy is not necessary, and we welcome members of the public who have an interest in ensuring safe and effective pharmacy care for the public to volunteer.
Information on the work of the College can be found on this website with specific information about the committees available here. If you are interested in submitting a volunteer application, fill out the public committee member volunteer form below and send it back to the College. Don't forget you can also share this link through your social media network (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn).
What is the time commitment?
Committee members are appointed by the College Board, with a maximum 2-year term of appointment. Members are also eligible for reappointment to serve up to three consecutive terms. Committees typically meet 3 to 4 times per year, with sessions ranging from half to full day or evening meetings. Members can meet in person or via teleconference.
