2017/2018 Annual Report Now Available!
The College of Pharmacists of BC’s Annual Report for the fiscal year 2017/2018 (March 1, 2017 to February 28, 2018) is now available at annualreport.bcpharmacists.org
As a BC Health Regulator, we recognize that our annual report plays an important role in demonstrating our transparency and accountability. It is also a great opportunity for the College to reflect on our performance and the many ways we’re involved in protecting public safety.
This year, we are also launching a new Annual Report website, which is designed to enhance the accessibility and transparency of our Annual Report, making it easy for the public, registrants and other stakeholders to discover information about the College’s activities over the past fiscal year.
The report outlines the progress made on some of the College’s key initiatives as well as some of the College’s major accomplishments from the past year. Highlights include the implementation of New Pharmacy Ownership Requirements; the four-year implementation plan for the new model standards for pharmacy compounding; an update on the College’s work on BC’s opioid crisis; new pharmacy security requirements and much more.
This year’s report introduces a new Cultural Safety and Humility section where we reflect on our progress towards meeting our commitment to improve cultural safety and humility for First Nations and Aboriginal Peoples in BC.
The report also includes statistics related to registration, licensure, practice reviews and complaints, as well as the College’s audited financial statements.
